    BETTING STRATEGIES

DICE COACH'S BETTING STRATEGIES

"The key to winning at gambling is to bet a larger unit, from a larger bankroll, for a short period of time--hit and run. This limits our exposure, allows us to exploit a table in the moment as it comes into balance or seeking balance to match its statistical probability. This approach actually makes the math meaningless, as you and I know math traditionally." SN

• When first entering the game wait a few rolls to see what the table is producing:
    Are the shooters making passes?
    Are they repeating numbers?
What numbers are coming up more often than other numbers? What numbers are not showing at all?
Are there lots of craps numbers, field numbers etc.
• Always play in the moment - bet what is rolling and lay what is not.
• The Come-out set for (7) is 6-1-6-1 axis with the 4-3 on top.
• Parlay the naturals -7 & 11's. On the first hit the parlay is 3 to 1, second hit parlay is 7-1, on the third hit take your winnings and increase your base bet by 50%. After the parlay, you do not take odds on your pass-line bet.
• After you set a point -wait one roll due to point-seven-out factor (PSO) before placing odds bets and making place bets. After each subsequent point is established in a hand, wait one roll before turning on your place bets and odds bets.
• Only bet pass-line on yourself. When other shooters have the dice make no pass-line bets. After a point is established the shooter only has a 40% chance of hitting his or her pass line point. After the point is established you can place a bet on the line or have the dealer place your bet where the puck is located. These are not contract bets and can be removed.
• When placing bets on the box numbers, remember each number is an independent occurrence. Always collect on the first hit, press on the second hit, collect on the third. (ie: collect-press-collect-press) You can do a full-press or press one unit at a time.
• Only make bets within your own comfort zone. If you are thinking about making a bet that you are not comfortable with, -don't make the bet.
• Remember there are no bad bets -just bad timing. Don't chase numbers.
• Look for certain patterns and always follow the current pattern.

ADVANCED BETTING STRATAGIES

ALWAYS PLAY IN THE MOMENT
WAIT AND SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING BEFORE PLACING A BET
BET WHAT IS ROLLING
BET SIGNATURE NUMBERS
(IE: the same number rolling TWICE in the last 6 to 8 rolls)
LAY WHAT IS NOT ROLLING (LOST NUMBERS)
A number that has not rolled recently such as:
    6 & 8 in 12 ROLLS
    5 & 9 in 13 ROLLS
    4 & 10 in 18 ROLLS
WATCH FOR THE LADDER
    (4- 5 - 6 =Call bets OFF or 10- 9- 8 =Call bets OFF)
THE POINT IS SET: Don't place odds or any place bets for 1 roll.
CALL BETS OFF for 1 roll after Craps/Eleven (1 /2 OR 5 / 6)
CALL BETS OFF for 2 rolls after Snake-eyes or Boxcars. (1 / 1 OR 6 / 6)
SEE A HORN BET A HORN: Bet a $6.00 HORN-HIGH, YO, ACE-DUCE.
(I also bet the field with this combination)
SET FOR 7'S ON THE COME-OUT:-then lay all the inside numbers.
(You have 1 number at risk to win 4 bets. Risking $30 to return $90)
WATCH FOR THE HOT ROLL HAND:
(2 passes made easily within the last 14 rolls.)

Lay-Bet Strategies

Lay-Bet strategies are another tool in your toolbox of Craps Play. When I see a cold or choppy table, I change the direction of my play by looking at the Dark Side and Lay-Bets.
A table is considered Choppy when the shooter cannot make his/her point number. The shooter may be hitting numbers and not making their point number.

A couple of things I consider when going to Lay-Bets:
• On any roll, I have a 22.22% chance of a 7 or 11 being rolled.
• On a cold table, - I personally prefer to do Lay Bets and pay the 5% vig.(paid up front in most casinos)
• I avoid placing the Don't Pass and Don't Come bets - the potential for the 7 or 11 to roll make these bets suspect plays. (7 or 11 loses on these plays)
• Once the shooter establishes their point, I will then "Lay the point". When the result is a PSO (point-7-out) it is a wonderful thing.

The Laying-Across Strategy is another option- by Laying-Across; you can win all your bets on one roll of the dice when a 7 shows. If by chance a box number rolls, you will only lose the bet on that number - the rest stay alive.

With this Strategy:
• If I lose two Lay-Bets, I take the rest down.
• I never replace a Lay-Bet that I have lost due to repeating numbers.
• I only "Lay the point" on a choppy table.
• I like to see Horn numbers rolled in between box numbers.

LAY    BETS
5% vig on win      (pays up front)

  4 5 6 8 9 10
pays 1-2 2-3 5-6 5-6 2-3 1-2
~~ ~ ~~

  4 5 6 8 9 10
lay $30.00 $30.00 $30.00 $30.00 $30.00 $30.00
pays $15.00 $20.00 $25.00 $25.00 $20.00 $15.00

lay $60.00 $60.00 $60.00 $60.00 $60.00 $60.00
pays $30.00 $40.00 $50.00 $50.00 $40.00 $30.00

lay $120.00 $120.00 $120.00 $120.00 $120.00 $120.00
pays $60.00 $80.00 $100.00 $100.00 $80.00 $60.00

lay $180 across less vig ($6) net profit 120 -6 = $114

lay $360 across less vig.($12) net profit 240 -12 = $228

lay $720 across less vig.($24) net profit 480 -24 = $456
